Erasmus Project

Our Best for Heritage:

Over the next 2 years our school will be taking part in a European project with four other countries. This project will focus on our culture and heritage, in particular involving our UNESCO sites.

The countries involved are Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy and Poland. We will learn more about their heritage by taking part in the project in lots of ways.

In the last few weeks 3rd-6th have taken part in competition to design a logo that will be used to represent the whole project. Three winning entries for each school were chosen and the vote is now open to everyone until October 2018. We would love to get as many votes as possible as the boys did a wonderful job on their logos.
Keep our eyes peeled for more information about our project, including our noticeboard and Erasmus Club which will be set up very soon!

The project website is as follows: www.ourbestforheritage.eu
Pease click on the project logo section to see the Bunscoil Buachaillaí Réalt na Mara entries and to vote

VIP Visitor

Friday 11th of May was an exciting day for the boys in First, Third, Fifith and Sixth Classes as they presented their European projects for Mrs  Marian Harkin MEP. Aterwards Mrs Harkin spoke to the boys and complimented all of them on their enthusiasm and confidence with which they delivered their presentations. Mrs Harkin also engaged in an interesting Q&A session with the boys!

Fifth and Sixth classes welcomed Ms Mairead McGuinness MEP and Vice-Pesident of the European Parliament to their classroom as part of the Blue Star Programme. The boys displayed and spoke to Ms McGuinness about their European projects and also engaged in a very interesting Question & Answer session with Ms McGuinness.
