While school operations have run smoothly over the past few days, parents parking in the staff car park is a source of serious concern to all of us. This car park is strictly for the use of staff, and of parents of children with special needs. It is not safe to have young children walking/running through the car park. Children travelling by car MUST be dropped off outside the school or in the set down area inside the grounds of the school.
Please comply with the Stop and Go! System. Turn at the roundabout and make your way to the car park exit via front wall of the school NOT through the staff car park.
Our school buses ferry one third of our pupils to and from the school. Due to the chaotic driving and parking choices of some drivers, they have been unable to leave the parking bays. These buses are under a strict schedule as they have to return to collect other pupils from our school after their first run so it is vitally important that drivers comply with the traffic plan, with the rules of the road and with consideration for the safety of others.
Our traffic plan has the health and safety of everyone at its core. It has been developed in consultation with An Garda Síochána, Meath County Council’s Road Safety Planners and the school planners.
